“love rocks art” – From a Family Art Education Experiment to the Establishment of a Foundation: A Profound Journey of Love, Creation, and Exploration

The miracle of life has deeply impressed upon me the truth that “Love is truly extraordinary.” As a mother, I was blessed by God with three little angels, through whom we experience the beauty of giving and receiving love, creating joy along the way. Each year, my husband and I plan a special art-themed birthday party for our daughters in our art space. Our eldest daughter’s birthday in May marks the sowing of creative seeds, which then lead into the annual themed creation period. During the harvest season of October and November, we host an exhibition centered around that year’s theme, which also serves as the art celebration for our second and third daughters.

Since 2015, this event has expanded like a butterfly effect. The inaugural theme featured butterflies collaboratively created by 100 children from around the world. Love’s message grew like a snowball, steadily gaining attention from various sectors of society. According to surveys, about 70% of participating children found a channel for self-expression through these activities, while 80% of parents believed it strengthened family bonds and understanding. Through these events, we emphasize “family art experiences,” advocating for art to enter the home, as art is the most natural language for children. Through love, we ignite and sustain children’s imagination and creativity, inspiring a love for painting in many young participants.

Our aim is to rekindle the passion for daily life, connecting inspiration with living through art. In 2021, we experienced moving, tear gas, protests, the pandemic, and quarantine. Yet, through all of this, we gained many meaningful insights and realizations, for which we are truly grateful.

As time passed, our children grew alongside their artistic experiences, and naturally, this life-filled project entered a new phase. After relocating to New York, a city renowned for its diversity and creative spirit, we began reflecting more deeply on the meaning of life. Partnering with Dr. Ji Maoye and his wife, we started to incorporate life sciences into the project, exploring the subtle connections between life sciences and art. In 2022, we redesigned the program with the new theme, “Art+Science=Beyond ” aiming to uncover the laws of human self-development and our interaction with nature.

These transformations ultimately led to the founding of love rocks art Foundation. Our mission is to guide young artists in exploring the intersection of art and technology, helping them discover the profound meaning of life through creation. Through this foundation, we aim to build a society that celebrates love and creativity, empowering more children to participate, spread the power of love, and explore the limitless possibilities of life.
